Bank Note$ - News You Can Bank On

Help Us Honor Them

This summer, we're going to extend the 4th of July all the way to Labor Day. We want to honor our community's service men and women by including tributes in Bank Note$ to them contributed by their friends and families. We know that there are many ACB clients who have ties to military personnel who are currently serving both here and abroad, and we want to give all of you the chance to get to know who they are. And if we continue to get contributions, we may be greeting the holidays with a little red, white, and blue thrown in too.

Share your pride and send your tributes to Arlene.Kulzer@arrowheadcommunitybank.com, or to Jody Serey at jody@sereyjones.com

You may also mail them to Arrowhead Community Bank

Skycom Business Park

More than 75 guests attended the Bade Companies' open house showcasing SkyCom Business Park's first two completed spec buildings. A ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce marked the official opening of the first light industrial project built in the heart of the City of Surprise's Southwest Railplex area. Bade Companies chose to develop SkyCom Business Park along the Western Maricopa County Enterprise Zone because of its close proximity to the railroad and the potential advantage to industrial small businesses. Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce diplomats, business representatives and potential tenants applauded SkyCom Business Park's ribbon cutting, which opens the door for potential high-paying employers to establish businesses near the BNSF Railway.

"We build exclusively in the West Valley," emphasized Landis Elliott, development director at Bade Companies. "We do everything full-service from zoning to building. It is our passion."

2nd Annual Officer Holly Memorial Ride

The 2nd Annual Officer Holly Memorial Ride has been scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2008. The 150-mile charity ride honors fallen Glendale police officer Anthony Holly and raises funds for the children's charities of The Anthony Holly Foundation. ACB's Debbie Charlesworth says, "Last year's inaugural run in November was so much fun and served such a good cause that this year we are improving on what has already proven to be a great thing. We have five stops, more prizes and give-aways, and lots of special features. We have also created opportunities for a variety of vendors to have a presence along the route."

The ride travels from Sun City through the Wickenburg area, continues to the Buckeye area, and ultimately concludes in Glendale. Registration is currently open, and can be completed by visiting www.arrowheadcommunitybank.com for a registration form, or by visiting www.anthonyhollyfoundation.org/events.asp. Additional information is available by calling 623-776-3819.

Arrowhead Community Bank is a sponsor of the Annual Officer Holly Memorial Ride. Updated information about the ride will be available on the ACB website, www.arrowheadcommunitybank.com.

ACB to Serve As Collection Site

This summer, Arizona food banks need your support more than ever before in history. During the month of June, Arrowhead Community Bank is serving as a collection site for donation of items. You can make a real difference to citizens in the Valley facing a true food crisis - especially school children who no longer have the security of a daily lunch. While donated canned food is always welcomed and is put to great use by Arizona food banks, specific items are in more need than others. The following food staples are in critical need: peanut butter, canned meat/tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, boxed cereals, boxed pastas and fruit juice in unbreakable bottles. In addition, cash donations are always welcomed by any food bank, as every donated dollar can purchase up to three times the amount that can be obtained through regular retail channels.
