Captain Ian M. Dinesen
Capt. Ian M. Dinesen, son of ACB clients Annette and Gil Beierle of Peoria, deployed for Iraq in July. He is the Operations Officer for the 820th Security Forces Group, Moody AFB, Georgia. He is responsible for operations of a one-of-a-kind unit providing integrated Force Protection (FP) in support of Air Expeditionary Wings, Air Expeditionary Forces, Global Strike Task Forces and other contingency operations.
Capt. Dinesen graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2000. He is also a distinguished graduate of the Security Forces Basic Officer Course. He has served in various positions at both the squadron and major command levels. He also deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, where he led the operations flight supporting Iraqi Police Transition Teams in Baghdad, Iraq under Request for Forces 619, and oversaw the execution of over 880 combat patrols, which covered more than 32,000 miles and culminated in over 87,000 man hours in the heart of Baghdad.
Among his many, many awards and decorations are the Bronze Star Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, and the Air Force Combat Action Medal.

Champu Studio Attracts Cutting-edge Master Stylist
ACB client Wade Lee Richards, a master stylist and makeup artist, had been dazzling customers with his talents for two years at a spa in Peoria. In April he opened his own styling station within Champú Studio at 6685 W. Beardsley Road, Suite 110, in Glendale. "My specialties are wedding updos and makeup," Richards said. "'The Mimosa Morning Wedding Package' includes a formal style and makeup application with a pre-wedding day trial run to set the bride at ease. Champú Studio can accommodate an entire wedding party, or I can travel to affairs."

Z's Fine Jewelry Holds Diamond Dig

In anticipation of the Fourth of July holiday, Z’s Fine Jewelry held an advance sale the last weekend of June to kick off the excitement. To add to the celebration, they also had one of their popular "Diamond Dig" events. Customers purchased cups of sand for $10 apiece, and each cup of sand contained a stone or larger finished piece of jewelry. All of the proceeds, which totaled more than $1,300, are being used to purchase items for service personnel serving in the Middle East.

Arizona Golf Tournament at Desert Mountain
The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation will hold the 4th Annual Arizona Golf Tournament on September 5, 2008 at the Desert Mountain Golf Club. The tax-exempt charity foundation provides financial assistance to the children of fallen military and law enforcement members. Since the first Arizona event in 2005, the foundation has been able to provide $200,000 in direct support to Arizona families.
Registration opens at 6:00 a.m. and an awards luncheon immediately follows the golf event. A variety of individual and corporate sponsorships are available, and the foundation welcomes contributions of any size. Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) will present a Spanish version of the off-Broadway hit Nunsense (Sorpresas) one night only on August 31 as a fundraiser for Advocates for Latin Arts & Culture (ALAC).
